Hybrid Pole Spear
A pole spear combining two different materials for increased control and precision while catching the fish. The bottom section is made of aluminum, measuring 97 cm • 38 3/16 inches in length, and the upper section is made of fiberglass, and is 86 cm • 33 7/8 inches long. The aluminum section diameter is 16 mm • 5/8 in and the fiberglass is 13 mm • 1/2 in. Due to the lightness of the fiberglass, it is effortless to move the pole spear through the water, allowing for swift movement. The aluminum handle guarantees a firm grip and stability. The end is rounded with a hole for a rubber sling. The pieces are screwed together using a resistant thread. Both the male and female fittings feature two spanner flats that allow tightening utilizing a wrench. The fiberglass top ends with a male fitting of 6 mm to be joined with a spear tip. The fiberglass section is coated with a non-slip hand grip, 78 cm • 30 11/16 in long. The rubber sling is made with an Ø 10 mm latex tube with a cord inside, fixed to the hole. The latex tube length is 91 cm • 35.8 in, cord length is 21 cm • 8.3 in: total length of 112 cm • 44.1 in. The pole spear comes with a 3-barbed prong paralyzer tip (29 cm • 11 3/8 in). A tip protection cap is included. The total length of the pole without the tip is 183 cm • 6 ft.
